Olga Carmona: “PSG is one of the best clubs in the world” | OneFootball

The newly signed Paris Saint-Germain player talks about her arrival in France and the new challenges that await her with Les Rouge et Bleu!

Olga, how do you feel about becoming a Paris Saint-Germain player?

'I'm proud to be here. I'm very happy to be part of this great club and I came here to win. I want to win a lot. I'm happy to be here and I hope I can make history.'

Can you tell us how the move happened and why you chose to join PSG?

'Paris Saint-Germain is one of the best clubs in the world. Personally, I needed a new challenge and new ambitions, and I knew that PSG were interested in me. I decided to come to Paris, a new city with a new language, but I'm sure I'll adapt quickly and I'm looking forward to taking on this challenge. '

What kind of player are you? How would you describe your profile?

”Ultimately, I'm an attacking player. I like to get involved in the attacking phases and I understand that defence is also a good form of attack. I think that if you attack well, you defend better and you end up defending over the course of the game. I'm very happy to be here and I hope I can contribute a lot to the team.'

You're a European U19 champion with your national team, a 2023 world champion with Spain, captain, you scored in the final... You already have so much experience at 24. What do you think you can bring to the dressing room and out on the pitch?

“Even though I'm a young player, I think I've had some very important experiences, and I think I can bring that European experience to bear. I'm looking forward to starting this new adventure in Paris.”

What are your personal and collective goals for the coming season?

'My personal goals are to do better than I did in the Spanish league. And on a team level, I would like to win as many titles as possible and do well in all competitions.“

What message would you like to send to the fans?

”I hope the fans will like what I bring to the field, and I hope that as a Spaniard, I can write the same story as all the Spaniards who have played on the men's team!'
