Forward Jorge Benguché will look to be one of the key men for Los Leones after earning the Top Goal Scorer Award, presented by Aramco, with eight goals in the Central American Cup.

Club América, one of the two most winning clubs in the history of the Champions Cup with seven titles, secured its berth in the competition as the Apertura 2024 champions in Liga MX. The Mexico City side reached the Quarterfinals stage in the 2025 edition.

Mexican national team goalkeeper Luis Malagón, Uruguayan midfielder Brian Rodríguez, and French attacker Allan Saint-Maximin will be players to keep an eye on as América aims to claim an eighth crown.

This Round One meeting will mark the fourth between Olimpia and América in the competition. Of the three previous two-legged series, Olimpia advanced once, while Las Águilas advanced twice.
