Michael Olise is putting together quite the special season at Bayern Munich.

Olise is the only player across Europe's top five leagues to have reached double figures in both goals (10) and assists (13) in 2025-26, a feat achieved after only 18 league appearances.

The Frenchman has evolved into arguably Europe's best creator atBayern Munich, following his €60m arrival from Crystal Palace in 2024. Such has been his - and Bayern's - form this season, Olise has even entered conversations around the 2026 Ballon d'Or.

The data backs up the argument.

Olise has averaged aBundesliga goal or assist every 59 minutes this season, while no player across Europe's top leagues has more non-penalty goal involvements than the 24-year-old (23), with Olise ahead of Erling Haaland (22) and Bayern teammates Harry Kane (19) and Luis Diaz (18).

Last season, Olise was directly involved in 27 goals in theBundesliga for Bayern. He's on track to surpass that figure by February this time around.

If he maintained his current rate of productivity, Olise would end the campaign on 51 goals and assists in theBundesliga.

For context, no player has produced more in a top-five league across the last decade. In fact, this century, only three players have bettered that number; Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid, 2014-15), Luis Suarez (Barcelona, 2015-16) andLionel Messi (Barcelona, 2011-12, 2012-13 and 2014-15).

Olise already has 17Opta-approved assists across all competitions in 2025-26 and will have his sights set on Lionel Messi's single-season record.

Messi recorded 30 assists for Barcelona during the 2011-12 season, a record for a top-five European league. The Argentine is followed by Juan Mata (29 for Chelsea in 2011-12) and Kevin De Bruyne (27 for Wolfsburg in 2014-15).

Could Olise not only catch Messi's milestone, but take the record outright?
