According to Leeds Live, Oliver Glasner will name a different starting XI for Leeds United than the one he uses two days earlier in the Europa Conference League, handing Daniel Farke a clearer picture.
The Premier League granted Palace’s request to move the Leeds fixture forward by a day to 20 December, as the club seek to rest players before a quarter-final tie with Arsenal the following Tuesday.
Palace host Kuopion Palloseura, known as KuPS, on Thursday, 18 December, leaving only 48 hours before they face Leeds, and Glasner has vowed to name entirely separate line-ups for the two games.
He cited player welfare as the reason, noting it would be easier to rest 10 or 12 for KuPS next week, and that victory over Shelbourne tonight would make the choices simpler.
Leeds have three fixtures left in 2025, starting at Brentford on Sunday and ending at Sunderland on Sunday, 28 December at 2pm, with Palace visiting Elland Road in between.
