At 30, Olivier Kemen remains driven by ambition, carrying memories of his two years at Lyon into a flourishing spell with Basaksehir in Türkiye’s Süper Lig.
According to Le Progres, the midfielder spent 2015 to 2017 at OL, then went on loan to Ajaccio before a permanent move to Niort.
He has lived in Türkiye for five years, initially with Kayserispor, where he terminated his contract after two and a half years because of unpaid wages.
Since January 2024 he has been in Istanbul with Basaksehir, where he has bounced back and is now one of the team’s two captains. The club finished fifth last season.
Invited by Lyon, Kemen watched the Champions League play-off first leg between Fenerbahçe and OL from the directors’ box.
