Mathieu Valbuena weighs in on the appointment of Habib Beye at OM

OM: Mathieu Valbuena backs Habib Beye
On Wednesday, Habib Beye was officially named head coach of OM. Former club player Mathieu Valbuena shares his thoughts on the Senegalese manager.
Habib Beye was appointed to the OM bench last Wednesday. The Senegalese manager will make his big debut tonight on the pitch at Brest in Ligue 1. While some have doubts about the Senegalese tactician, former Marseille attacking midfielder Mathieu Valbuena believes in his former teammate's success.
"He’s not intimidated by the Marseille environment. He knows the demands, he knows exactly what he’s getting into. He also knows that just because you have a past at Marseille doesn’t mean you’ll be given any favors—everything resets, and only results matter. I think Habib has nothing to lose. He won’t be spared, that’s for sure, but OM is in his heart and he’s got the character to succeed," the French player told RMC radio.
