According to Le Progres, Lyon led twice at the Vélodrome but left with regret and frustration over certain refereeing decisions.

Tolisso was an exemplary captain throughout.

He struck early with a composed left-foot finish, his 10th of the season, quietening the Vélodrome.

In the first half he operated in a hybrid role, shuttling between midfield and attack with intelligence, then sat deeper after the break.

Not spared by Balerdi, he did give the ball away at times, yet his overall effort remained notable.

Himbert also set the tone before the team lost its grip.
