Mohamed Salah’s arrival in Türkiye came with a lighthearted twist as Trabzonspor fans encountered a Galatasaray supporter among the welcome party.

According to Goal.com, a widely shared clip showed Trabzonspor supporters surrounding the rival fan in good humour and asking him to remove his Galatasaray shirt. He played along, taking it off amid laughter and chants for Salah and Trabzon.

Salah touched down in Istanbul on Wednesday morning, where thousands of Trabzonspor fans greeted him. He then boarded a flight to Trabzon on the Black Sea to complete transfer formalities.

He reached the city on Wednesday evening and will officially sign his contracts, with the deal to be announced on Thursday.

The move starts a new chapter after eight seasons at Liverpool, where he scored 257 goals in 442 appearances and collected every available trophy with the Reds.
