A staggering statistic surrounding the ongoing availability of a member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has come to the fore online.
The player in question? Jules Koundé.
Defender Koundé has for his part of course enjoyed a stellar individual campaign to date.
Continuing to act as one of the first names on the team sheet of boss Hansi Flick, the France international has established himself as one of the very finest right-backs in world football.
Koundé has even managed to increase his output in the final third, boasting three goals and an impressive eight assists in 2024/25.
And yet, as alluded to above, it is yet another aspect of the former Sevilla man’s game which is arguably the most impressive of all.
The factor in question? Availability.
As revealed by Diario Sport, taking into account club and country, Koundé has played his part in each and every one of his teams’ last 99 official fixtures.
This is a run stretching all the way back to November of 2023.
In the case of the 26-year-old, as expected, playing his part against Real Betis on Saturday, he will in turn hit the century mark for successive appearances.
