One creative spark drives Ajax past Feyenoord | OneFootball

Mika Godts set up the clincher in the fourth minute of second half stoppage time as Ajax beat Feyenoord 2-0. The Belgian's creativity underpinned the result in a game of fine margins.

In the seventh minute he fed Oscar Gloukh on the edge, drawing a save from Timon Wellenreuther as the visitors were pushed back early.

Before the interval he stung Wellenreuther's palms from distance (41.). After the restart he continued to knit attacks together, slipping Rayane Bounida in for a blocked effort and later bending a shot just wide (81.).

Godts finished with five key passes, an assist and two successful dribbles, plus six recoveries, a mix that showed how he both created and pressed. He also completed 10 successful final third passes, keeping the Godenzonen on the front foot.

Because he repeatedly found pockets between full back and centre back, his carries and quick give-and-goes disrupted Feyenoord's shape and ensured Ajax controlled the most dangerous zones.
