Nico O’Reilly made an impressive debut for England and with the 2026 World Cup on the horizon, he has every chance to make the left-back spot his own for his country as he has for Manchester City.

My mum, stepdad, sister, for them to watch me play here at Wembley is a crazy feeling.”

Nico O’Reilly has had an impressive beginning to the 25/26 season. His strong form for Manchester City has now seen him become an England international. There is no reason why Nico O’Reilly cannot become England’s first-choice left-back heading into the 2026 World Cup. To do that he’ll have to continue his strong form for City and if he does that Pep Guardiola’s side will continue to be the beneficiary of Nico O’Reilly’s meteoric rise.
