On 4 February 2012, City hosted Fulham in the Premier League.

The Blues went into the game on the back of 1-0 midweek loss to Everton.

Beating the Cottagers was crucial as Roberto Mancini’s side attempted to chase down Premier League leaders, Manchester United.

As light snow initially fell in East Manchester, City quickly opened up a 2-0 lead.

Sergio Aguero tucked home a penalty on 10 minutes and Chris Baird was credited with an own goal 20 minutes later.

After the break, the snow really fell and the players battled on in blizzard conditions.

The match was stopped twice to clear the penalty areas and there was even concern it might be abandoned altogether.

But sterling work by our ground staff, who were warmly applauded by the shivering Etihad crowd, ensured play resumed after the second stoppage to allow the game to get over the finish line.

Before the final whistle, Edin Dzeko made it 3-0 via an Aguero assist to end the game as a contest and bag three points for the Blues.
