Jesús Andrés Ramírez headed in from a corner in the 22nd minute, setting Nacional on course for a 2-0 victory at Tondela.
Ramírez timed his run to the centre and glanced the delivery from Daniel Júnior after a recycled corner, beating the goalkeeper with a firm header. The move underlined his threat on dead balls and his ability to separate from markers in the box.
After the restart he combined with Daniel Júnior again, finding room outside the area for a shot that was blocked (46.). Late on he burst into the six-yard box but lifted over from close range in the seventh minute of second half stoppage time.
The forward finished with five attempts, three of them blocked, and won six possessions, reflecting constant involvement across the front line. His set-piece movement and persistence pinned Tondela's centre-backs back and gave Nacional a direct route to goal.
Nacional rise from 14th to 13th in Liga Portugal. They host AVS next. Tondela visit Sporting CP.
