Marc Dos Santos's side defeated LA Galaxy 3-0 in El Tráfico before following it up with a 3-1 victory over Real Salt Lake, with Son Heung-min and Denis Bouanga both finding the net in a productive week for the Black and Gold. 

Sporting Kansas City arrive in Los Angeles looking to build momentum after a disappointing campaign so far. KC sit bottom of the Conference with just four wins and 14 points.

LAFC’s attacking firepower will be the key storyline, with Bouanga continuing to be one of MLS’ most dangerous forwards and Son looking to build on his first goal of the season.

Sporting will need to be at their defensive best if they are to leave BMO Stadium with a result.

Denis Bouanga remains the player most likely to decide this contest.

The Gabon international has been one of MLS’ elite attackers since joining LAFC, winning the 2023 MLS Golden Boot and becoming a consistent source of goals and assists.

He continued his excellent record against LA Galaxy after the World Cup break, scoring from the penalty spot in a 3-0 victory.

With his pace, direct running and clinical finishing, Bouanga will be the main threat Sporting Kansas City must contain.
