When did you start supporting Manchester United and why?

Well, being from an Italian background all my family supported Chelsea (booooo), so me and my cousin just decided to support Man Utd from as far back as I can remember. Since then, we have both been to games and watched many a match together.

What is your favourite memory of supporting Man United as a kid?

Well, the obvious is the treble! Can’t really get much bigger than that and the chaos surrounding it all - the Champions League final especially and winning the way we did. It was truly magical and encompassed what United was all about. That never say die attitude that inspired so many.

How impressed have you been with Michael Carrick so far?

VERY! I was in Thailand when the news broke that [Ruben] Amorim got sacked and I was a little confused by it all. Then after [Darren] Fletcher lost two games I was thinking “here we go again”.

I wasn’t totally convinced when Carrick got the job to be honest, but after watching the Man City game I was IN! We looked a totally different team and I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. It’s only got better since then and I’ve seen how well the players have spoken about him and how well they have been playing.

Would you be tempted to give him the job full-time?

The way it’s going, why not? If he gets us into the Champions League and we finish in the top four I think it would be stupid not to! He knows the club, the players love and respect him and so do the fans! Up the CARRICK!!

Can we finally, in the words of Rio Ferdinand, say that Man Utd are back?

Haha!! Hold your horses! After that West Ham game, we have still got a lot of work to do but I’m definitely the happiest I’ve been in regards to how we look in a long time. I can now really see the potential in us and moving forward I’m ready for us to reclaim that Premier League title!
