Lionel Messi - Inter Miami

It feels like we end up writing this every week, but not without good reason. The Argentina star, for the umpteenth time, carried Inter Miami on his shoulders for yet another victory.

Initially behind 1-0, Messi personally had enough before ripping the New York Red Bulls apart with a brilliant performance. Two goals and one assist, but it could have genuinely been five or six goal contributions total.

According to MLS Communications, Messi now sits tied for the Golden Boot with 18 goals so far. Additionally, he has 38 goals and 25 assists since the start of last season, "becoming one of only five players in league history to record at least 35 goals and 25 assists over a two-year span."

Unfortunately for Miami fans, they may not see any Messi magic on Wednesday during the All-Star game.

ESPN FC reports that No. 10 "didn't show up for training" ahead of the event, which could indicate he won't be participating at all.

Still, regardless of whatever competition he's playing in, fans worldwide know to savour every moment Messi offers for as long as they can.
