Only six EURO 2020 winners are included in Roberto Mancini’s new Italy squad.

According to Football Italia, his first squad of 2026 for Nations League fixtures numbers 34 players and features nine newcomers to the senior side.

The survivors from that title win are goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, defenders Alessandro Bastoni and Giovanni Di Lorenzo, midfielders Nicolò Barella and Bryan Cristante, and forward Giacomo Raspadori.

Mancini’s first stint delivered the European crown and a world-record unbeaten run. EURO 2020 was staged in summer 2021 after a pandemic delay.

He stepped down in August 2023, then returned to the Nazionale this summer.
