According to O Jogo, the Porto Court of Appeal heard appeals from five defendants in Operação Pretoriano and set six February, 11:00, for the ruling.

The appellants are Fernando Madureira, Sandra Madureira, Vítor Aleixo, Vítor Bruno Aleixo and José Pereira. Fernando Madureira attended, the others were absent.

At first instance, Fernando Madureira received three years and nine months in prison, an immediate term, plus a two and a half year stadium ban. Sandra Madureira got two years and eight months, suspended, and a one and a half year ban.

Vítor Aleixo and José Pereira took two years and 10 months, both suspended, with a one and a half year ban. Vítor Bruno Aleixo received three years and three months, also suspended, and a one and a half year ban.

The prosecution also appealed, seeking tougher terms, including nine years for Fernando Madureira and a custodial sentence for Sandra Madureira.

Lawyer Miguel Marques Oliveira argued there were contradictions in the proven facts and said no intimidation plan was shown at FC Porto’s general assembly. He said messages in the "Super Dragões 1986" group only sought a large turnout and asked for Fernando’s sentence to be suspended.

Representing Vítor and Vítor Bruno Aleixo, Gonçalo Nabais cited the father’s remorse and said the son acted to protect him.

José Pereira’s lawyer said he acted alone and co-authorship was wrong. FC Porto said mobilisation and coercion existed. Judge William Themudo closed the session, noting Fernando Madureira’s maximum remand ends next day.
