Opta’s predictions for Chelsea’s next game this week will actually not really suit The Blues, incidentally.
It’s a strange one because really, we have seen Chelsea playing much better against teams that they are not expected to beat. They are much better as the underdogs at the moment.
Of course, they have beaten lesser teams as well and really, we should be going to Leeds United this coming Wednesday night and coming back with all three points, no questions asked.
But most Chelsea fans will tell you right now that they would actually feel more confident going into games like Barcelona, and Arsenal, whom they drew 1-1 with on Sunday night playing 60 minutes of the game with ten men.
And as we know, in the Barcelona game, Chelsea blew them away with an easy 3-0 win. And to be honest, I think most of us Blues fans actually had good feelings ahead of both of these games and believed we could do something. And we did just that.
But going into the Leeds game this week will not give us as much confidence, because Chelsea just seem to struggle more against the lesser sides.

According to Opta, Chelsea are given a 60.3% chance of continuing their recent strong track record against Leeds and claiming a victory at Elland Road.
A draw is deemed to be the second-most probable outcome, at 20.6%, while Leeds have been given a 19.1% chance of ending their run of four consecutive defeats with a win.
Even though I’m more confident playing against the top sides, I still think we win this one. Leeds have been terrible and have a manager under immense pressure. This should be a Chelsea win. Whilst no game is easy at this level, Chelsea have so much more quality and should be able to come away with all three points.
