Orlando City are reportedly preparing an ambitious proposal to lure Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison (28) to Major League Soccer, with plans to present a long-term project that could see the Brazilian join in summer 2026, Sky Sports reports.
Senior Orlando officials, including director Ricardo Moreira, recently travelled to London to meet with Richarlison’s representatives, outlining a vision to make the 28-year-old the centrepiece of their future ambitions. The move would follow LAFC’s record-breaking £20m capture of Son Heung-Min, another Spurs talisman who has flourished in the MLS.
Richarlison recently made his 250th Premier League appearance, becoming only the fifth Brazilian in history to reach that milestone. Under new Tottenham boss Thomas Frank, the forward has registered three goals and an assist in 13 appearances this season.
While the forward is said to be content in North London, the financial and sporting appeal of Orlando’s project, combined with the potential to raise the club’s international profile, may prove persuasive.
Richarlison has previously drawn interest from Fluminense, Palmeiras, and Saudi clubs, but remains focused on maintaining his place in the Brazil national team ahead of the next World Cup.
