Paraguay goalkeeper Orlando Gill has joined Lille on a five-year deal after catching the eye at the World Cup. According to L'Équipe, he arrives with his status still unclear.
French supporters first took notice on four July in Philadelphia, when Paraguay faced them in the World Cup round of 16, which finished 1-0.

He frustrated them for 70 minutes until Kylian Mbappé struck from the penalty spot.
At full time Gill offered Mbappé a handshake but received no reply, closing a grim contest.
He had already stood out against Germany earlier in the tournament.
