Orlando Pirates have been handed a major boost ahead of their Betway Premiership clash against Richards Bay on Wednesday (19h30).

The Soweto giants will host the Natal Rich Boyz at the storied Orlando Amstel Arena as they look to keep their title hopes alive.

Pirates head into the match sitting second with 44 points after Mamelodi Sundowns leapfrogged three points clear at the summit of the table following a 2-0 victory over Orbit College on Tuesday.

With the match on the horizon, Abdeslam Ouaddou will welcome the services of influential midfielder Sipho Mbule, who was on the sidelines due to an injury.

Moreover, Kamogelo Sebelebele is also back in contention after serving a one-match suspension in the previous outing against Polokwane City.

“Their mission has been boosted by the availability of the in-form Kamogelo Sebelebele, who is eligible for selection after sitting out the trip to Polokwane through a one-match suspension,” read the Bucs' statement.

"Midfielder Sipho Mbule is meanwhile back in contention for a place in the matchday squad after a brief spell on the sidelines.

Notably, Pirates completed a league double over the KwaZulu-Natal side last season, and this will be the two teams' first league meeting of the ongoing campaign.
