Óscar Sánchez provides update on Luis Rioja injury ahead of Real Sociedad match | OneFootball

According to Superdeporte, Óscar Sánchez said Luis Rioja will be in Valencia's squad to face Real Sociedad, in what will be his final match as interim coach.

The Andalusian winger went off injured after scoring against Alavés, aggravating a plantar fat pad problem in his foot that had sidelined him for weeks.

Sánchez explained he will keep the same squad used in Vitoria, stressing Rioja's push to make it. The forward completed training today, can manage the pain, and is keen to help.

After the Real Sociedad game there is a significant break, which will be key to working on the issue, but Rioja wants to offer one last contribution before that spell.

Sánchez added that everyone who travelled to Vitoria is available.
