São Paulo state prosecutors have filed a criminal complaint accusing Corinthians president Osmar Stabile of embezzlement linked to payments involving Bear Security, and are seeking his precautionary removal from office.

According to Meu Timao, which reviewed the filing, the complaint alleges Stabile appropriated R$ 721.194,66 through 16 near-monthly transfers to Bear Security between July 2025 and August 2026, with individual sums ranging from R$ 33,000 to R$ 65,000.

The investigation cites irregularities in the club’s dealings with Bear Security, including a verbal arrangement until March 2026, followed by a contract after compliance approval. It also points to an alleged failure to obtain competing quotes as required by the club’s Statute.

Prosecutors consider preventive custody too extreme, but argue for measures to mitigate the risk of repeated conduct, interference in the probe and use of office to hinder inquiries.

The requested orders include barring Stabile from club premises and from contacting witnesses and directors.

They also seek his precautionary suspension from all associative and representative functions, plus travel restrictions, including a ban on leaving the country without court approval and a bar on domestic trips longer than eight days without authorisation.

The filing asks the court to open criminal proceedings, serve Stabile and hear witnesses, and demands restitution of R$ 721.194,66 and moral damages of R$ 540.895,995 to Corinthians.
