Osmar Stabile’s testimony in the São Paulo Public Prosecutor’s probe into Corinthians’ hiring of Mega Assessoria Operacional Ltda was postponed on Tuesday after his defence filed a request.
UOL first reported the delay, the hearing is part of an MP-SP investigation into alleged irregularities in security and access-control contracts in the second half of 2025. Stabile’s lawyers cited institutional commitments and asked prosecutors to reschedule.
In a separate filing, lawyers for Fernando José da Silva, owner of Mega, said the firm was opened on the club’s guidance to centralise payments, and that he acted on a direct presidential order to reorganise access control at Parque São Jorge after Augusto Melo’s suspension.
They argue the club faced an emergency, so Fernando advanced wages from his own funds before Mega existed, attaching Pix proofs totalling R$ 620,445 paid to outsourced staff between August and December 2025.
The defence rejects claims Mega is a shell, says invoices flagged by the club were corrected with substitutes in May, and asks for the case to be archived.
Sports Insider reported last month that Mega, incorporated on 3 July 2025, operated at club facilities in September and October 2025 without a police permit or contract, issuing three invoices totalling R$ 676,600. Stabile has said the saga followed the 31 May 2025 invasion of the presidential floor, adding he asked Fernando to reorganise security but denies ordering the company’s creation or knowing of it, while prosecutors examine possible theft and other payment irregularities.
