Osmar Stabile, Corinthians president, attended the state public prosecutor's office on Monday afternoon to give a statement in a civil inquiry into potential judicial intervention at the club.
According to Globo.com, he arrived with two lawyers at around 13:50, more than an hour before the scheduled 15:00 hearing. The club's legal director, Pedro Soares, arrived shortly after 15:00.
Stabile is being questioned by prosecutors Luiz Ambra Neto and André Pascoal, from the Promotoria de Justiça do Patrimônio Público e Social da Capital, about the club's administration. The session is expected to last one to two hours.
Prosecutors aim to clarify issues around management and the administrative and financial position, to examine steps taken in relation to events involving the club, and to request further documents.
They have spent recent weeks reviewing materials submitted since the inquiry opened in December 2025. Work on the file only resumed in mid-May this year after the Conselho Superior do MP rejected a Corinthians appeal and authorised the investigation to continue.
During the pause, members filed a separate court action seeking judicial intervention. Prosecutors have followed that case. In their latest submission, they backed the case proceeding but have not taken a position on its merits.
Depending on the findings, the inquiry could lead to a public civil action seeking judicial intervention in the administration, or to a term of conduct adjustment, TAC, for Corinthians to make corrections. The MP may request intervention, but the court decides. There is no deadline to conclude the inquiry.
