Sandro Tonali was one of several summer signings to arrive at Newcastle ahead of the 2023/24 Premier League season.
The Italian international secured a high-profile £55m transfer from Milan and there was plenty of intrigue on Tyneside about how the technically gifted midfielder would perform on his debut.

Tonali looked at home at St James' Park and he made a dream start, netting the opener after just six minutes as Newcastle stormed to a 5-1 victory over Aston Villa.
The 25-year-old has become a stalwart for the Toon, making over 50 appearances since his impressive 2023 debut.
