MLS has long been viewed by many as a retirement home for the upper crust of the footballing community.
While those sentiments are finally starting to turn, there remains a long legacy of veteran stars having a bit of fun on North American shores in the twilight of their career.
Zlatan Ibrahimović was no different.
A sublime player across a glistening career at the club and international level, Zlatan brought his swagger with him to LA Galaxy in 2018 after his goalscoring exploits took him across Europe from Malmö to Ajax, Juventus, Inter, Barcelona, Milan, PSG, and Manchester United.
With a sublime eye for goal, the Swedish legend put on a show in his club debut against LAFC with a brace as a substitute, including this stunning strike that went on to receive MLS Goal of the Year.
As his famous full-page ad in the LA Times once said; "Dear Los Angeles, you're welcome."
