Congratulations to Leila Ouahabi, who’s helped Spain win the 2025 UEFA Nations League.

The defending champions retained their crown with a 3-0 two-legged victory over a Germany side including City’s Rebecca Knaak.

With the first leg ending goalless in Kaiserslauten, all eyes were on Tuesday’s evening’s reverse fixture in Madrid.

And in a re-run of their Euro 2025 semi-final bout, the Spanish once again came out on top thanks to a second half brace from Claudia Pina and fine Vicki Lopez strike.

It means Ouahabi’s La Roja remain the only side to win the UEFA Nations League, with this the second edition of the competition.

Our full-back featured four times for La Roja at this summer’s European Championships, with the world champions beaten on penalties by England in the final.

But this victory means Ouahabi signs off for international duty in 2025 on a positive note, helping her nation return their title.

Everyone at City would like to congratulate Leila on helping Spain win the UEFA Nations League, and offer our commiserations to Rebecca.
