Oulai ‘to fly’ for €30m Fiorentina move after Türkiye airport confusion | OneFootball

According to Sportitalia and SpaceViola, Christ Inai Oulai is ready to fly to Italy this evening for a transfer to Fiorentina after a day of confusion around his whereabouts.

He had been expected in Italy earlier, and a flight from Istanbul to Florence was arranged, but it was cancelled while further details were settled.

There were also unusual reports in Türkiye that a person posing as a Trabzonspor official collected him at the airport after his arrival from Ivory Coast. Sky Sport Italia insists this was not an attempted kidnapping, saying Oulai wanted an independent lawyer to scrutinise the paperwork.

Sportitalia and SpaceViola add that the contracts have now been reviewed and signed, clearing the way for this evening’s travel.

The deal is reported at €30m including add-ons, with Trabzonspor due a 20 per cent share of any future sale. Bastia, who sold him last year for €5.5m plus a 20 per cent cut of the profit, will also benefit.

Oulai turned 20 in April and already has 13 senior caps for Ivory Coast, featuring at the World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico. He played 31 times for Trabzonspor, scoring two goals with four assists.
