Brazilian icon Cafú has today revealed his high hopes for soon-to-be Real Madrid frontman Endrick.

The name of Brazilian sensation Endrick has of course found itself centre stage in the headllines in Spain’s capital for some time now.

This comes ahead of his imminent arrival at the Santiago Bernabéu.

The explosive attacker is primed to link up with Carlo Ancelotti’s squad in July of this year, after at long last turning 18.

This comes after the Real hierarchy agreed to fork out a hefty sum, with the potential to rise to €60 million, to bring him in from Brazilian giants Palmeiras.

Endrick, for his part, is widely considered to be a star in the making, with the success enjoyed by fellow countrymen Vinícius Jr. and Rodrygo in Spain boding altogether well for the teen’s prospects, too.

The mounting excitement surrounding Endrick’s talents, however, is not restricted solely to those of a Real Madrid persuasion.

In addition, in his home country, chatter has long begun to mount that the explosive attacker could be Brazil’s next true superstar.

And one individual in no doubt about precisely that, comes in the form of the aforementioned Cafú.

Speaking in an interview with ‘O Estado de S. Paulo’ in Brazil (as cited by TyC Sports), Selecao legend Cafú moved to lavish praise on Endrick, adamant that he possesses all of the tools to become ‘our greatest star’:

“He can become our greatest hope, our greatest star, the greatest idol of the last ten years. We did not have idols in practically any club, nor such unanimous figures in the National Team as is the case with Endrick, although he’s still a kid.”
