Nine Paris Saint-Germain players have been nominated for this year’s Ballon d’Or. However, not all will be present at Monday night’s ceremony.
There is quite a significant calendar clash. PSG were supposed to play Olympique de Marseille in Le Classique at the Vélodrome on Sunday night. Les Parisiens travelled south, only for the game to be then called off by local authorities due to an incoming storm.
PSG therefore travelled back to Paris and have now returned to southern France, with the game being played tonight at 21:00. That game directly coincides with the match against OM. Naturally, therefore, PSG’s delegation is smaller than was initially anticipated.
The members of the PSG delegation present at the Ballon d’Or have now been revealed. President Nasser Al-Khelaifi will be present, as will Désiré Doué, Joao Neves, and Ousmane Dembélé, as per RMC Sport. All are currently sidelined through injury, and the latter is tipped to win the prestigious prize later tonight.
