Oxford United host Bristol City in the Championship on Saturday, 17 January 2026 at the Kassam Stadium, with the visitors targeting the play-off picture and the hosts trying to climb out of the relegation places.

Bristol City won the reverse fixture 3-1 in September. Oxford United arrive with four defeats in their past five league games, while City have three wins from five in the league, including a 5-0 victory over Portsmouth.

Oxford United are without Hidde ter Avest, Przemyslaw Placheta, Ciaron Brown, Tyler Goodhram, Nik Prelec and Jamie Donley. City miss Joseph Williams, Mark Sykes, Max Bird, Luke McNally and Fally Mayulu.

The Robins have scored 38 league goals and kept nine clean sheets, with Anis Mehmeti on eight league goals and Scott Twine and Emil Riis Jakobsen on seven apiece. Oxford United have managed 25 goals and just two clean sheets. Brian De Keersmaecker has supplied four league assists. City could look to press that defensive gap.

A win would take Oxford United to 25 points and could move them out of the relegation places. City would reach 42 points with victory and could close in on the top six.
