Real Sociedad continued their pre-season at Zubieta on Wednesday, and captain Mikel Oyarzabal stopped by to greet the squad as the 2026 world champion.
According to AS, he was tossed in the air and applauded by the players, head coach Pellegrino Matarazzo and the staff, and he received widespread congratulations.

Sporting director Erik Bretos also offered his congratulations, then a full group photo was taken on the pitch.
The welcome underlined that the world champion was back on home ground.
Oyarzabal now has three weeks of holiday and will not return to training at Zubieta until 10 August, one week before La Liga starts.
