The club said in a statement on Monday morning that Pablo Longoria’s time at OM is over. It comes a little more than one month after his remit was reduced and interim Alban Juster was appointed in his place.
Lawyers for owner Frank McCourt and the Spanish executive have now agreed the terms of his exit, including financial aspects. Longoria arrived in summer 2020, first as director of football then as president, spending nearly six years at the club.
On 17 February, the day McCourt confirmed Medhi Benatia would stay and Longoria’s scope would be reduced, Juster was named managing director of Olympique de Marseille SASP.
Recently published extracts from the club’s supervisory board minutes state that Longoria resigned his roles as president and executive board member, effective 28 February.
Juster was granted full authority to represent the company to third parties, under the same conditions as the executive board president.
