Pablo Maffeo takes Eray Cömert’s No 24 at Valencia | OneFootball

Pablo Maffeo has joined Valencia on loan from Olympiacos for the 2026/27 season, with an option to buy for a little over 3 million euros. The club announced that the 29-year-old defender will link up immediately under Carlos Corberán.

He landed at Manises at about 1.30am, then was unveiled later in the day.

Maffeo has selected the No 24 shirt, inheriting the number worn last season by Eray Cömert after his contract with Valencia ended.

Speaking to the club’s media, he described himself as a committed competitor who gives everything on the pitch and believes he can add experience, togetherness and competitiveness. He asked for the fans’ support and said he will give his all for the club.

The move marks his fourth spell in LaLiga after previous stints with Girona and Huesca, and a four-season run at Mallorca.
