Talleres President Andrés Miguel Fassi confirms negotiations with Inter for Tomas Palacios’ sale, although there is also an ‘option’ in Germany for the Argentinean defender.
Inter are in advanced talks to sign Argentinean defender Palacios from Talleres, even though Independiente Rivadavia are also involved in negotiations.
Palacios, in fact, is currently on loan at Independiente Rivadavia, and the Argentinean club has an option to acquire 50% of players’ rights.
Rivadavia’s directors arrived in Italy on Monday to negotiate with Inter, and Talleres President Fassi confirmed talks with the Nerazzurri during an interview with La Mesa del Futbol in Argentina.
“We are negotiating with Independiente Rivadavia for the sale of Tomas Palacios to Italy,” he said.
“There’s an option for Germany, but it’s good to follow the plan to sell those with no space with us.”
Inter needs a new defender following an injury to Tajon Buchanan, who is expected to remain out of action until December/January due to a tibia injury.
Palacios, 21, is a pretty versatile option as he can play as a centre-back or left defender.
Inter have made three summer signings: Josep Martinez from Genoa, Mehdi Taremi from Porto and Piotr Zielinski from Napoli.
