Tottenham Hotspur entertained Doncaster Rovers at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a good result at home in the EFL Cup. Spurs made a bright start to the game and got their noses ahead in the 14th minute when Joao Palhinha found the back of the net. Jay McGrath scored an unfortunate own goal just three minutes later as Thomas Frank’s men cruised to a 2-0 lead at the half-time break.

The North London club controlled the game well in the second half and managed to score their third goal in injury time thanks to Brennan Johnson’s effort. Frank’s players ended up securing a solid 3-0 win in front of their home fans.
