Tottenham Hotspur welcomed Everton at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier today as they hoped to secure a positive result at home and avoid relegation from the Premier League. Spurs made a strong start to the game and scored the opener in the 42nd minute when Joao Palhinha got his name on the scoresheet. Roberto De Zerbi’s men went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.

The North London club defended their slender advantage well in the second half and secured a narrow 1-0 win in front of their home fans.
