Palhinha ‘to report back’ to Bayern for pre-season as Tottenham end pursuit

João Palhinha looks set to remain at Bayern Munich for now, with external interest easing after his season on loan at Tottenham.

According to Sky Germany, the midfielder is expected to report back for pre-season after a permanent Spurs move collapsed. Tottenham have stepped away following the signings of Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes.

A return to Sporting Lisbon is proving difficult at this stage, with Bayern’s valuation viewed as too high.

Even so, his long-term future in Munich is unclear. Several clubs are monitoring the situation, and conversations with potential suitors continue.

Palhinha, 30, is under contract at Bayern until 2028.
