Atalanta coach Raffaele Palladino welcomes Giacomo Raspadori: ‘He’s a strong player who has completed the attacking department.’
Atalanta are expected to announce the signing of Raspadori on a permanent transfer from Atletico Madrid today.
The ex-Napoli striker returned to Italy to undergo medical tests earlier this week.

“He’s a strong player who has completed the attacking department. He has raised Atalanta’s level. I’ve always liked him, and being the club very ambitious, managed to bring him to Bergamo. We are really strong in attack,” Palladino said at a press conference on Thursday via TMW.
“Atalanta have many options thanks to Raspadori’s arrival. Besides Samardzic, De Ketelaere, Maldini, Lookman and Krstovic are doing really well. They know they have to push in training, but I’m really happy with them. I have a team that is ready for anything, where everyone knows how to seize opportunities.”

Atalanta have collected four wins in the last five Serie A games and visit strugglers Pisa tomorrow.
“We must have the ambition to earn as many points as possible. We have taken a great path, and these lads deserve the credit,” continued Palladino.
“We still haven’t achieved anything, and our target is to get many more points than the 28 in the Girone d’Andata. I’ll ask for consistency, because this is a good moment and we have to ride it.”
