Raffaele Palladino is desperate to return to top-flight management sooner rather than later, but for now, the former Fiorentina coach will have to wait a little longer despite recent links with a return to his former club.
Palladino is keen to return to the dugout, but on his own terms, in the sense that there have been openings in recent weeks, but ones that have not been to the coach’s liking.
There have been minor inquiries from abroad, but there have been no particularly strong links outside of Italy.

Palladino is a potential candidate for Atalanta, despite denials from club officials, who reiterated their faith in Ivan Juric just a few minutes before kick-off against Marseille in the Champions League on Wednesday evening.
Atalanta’s 1-0 victory over Marseille, an impressive result, has only strengthened Juric’s position, and now, he is looking for more consistency in Serie A.
There had also been openings in Florence for Palladino over the last week. The coach will have explored them as well, given that he has maintained a strong relationship with various members of his old team.

The club, however, have the final say, and as Football Italia reported on Wednesday, are now leaning towards appointing Paolo Vanoli.
So, for now, barring any sensational last-minute U-turns, the wait for Palladino continues.
