Carlo Ancelotti has called up defender Vitor Reis for Brazil’s friendly against Croatia after the defeat to France on Thursday 26, according to Nosso Palestra.

The Palmeiras academy graduate is currently with Girona.

A regular starter this season, the centre-back is the under-20 player with the most La Liga minutes, ahead of Lamine Yamal and Arda Güler.

Palmeiras sold Vitor Reis to Manchester City at the start of 2025 for €35 million fixed plus bonuses, about R$220 million.

He featured only four times for the English side in his first months in Europe, then moved to Girona on loan until the end of the season.

The switch to the Spanish club was based on projected playing time and competitive development, criteria considered fundamental to his progression.
