After the 2-2 draw with Atlético-MG on Wednesday night (28), in Belo Horizonte (MG), for their debut in the Campeonato Brasileiro, the Palmeiras squad returned to São Paulo (SP) right after the match and already reported back on Thursday morning (29) at the Football Academy.

The starting players from the match held in the capital of Minas Gerais stayed inside the excellence center, where they performed recovery work. The other athletes went out to the field and participated in technical activities in reduced spaces, with the presence of youngsters from the youth academy.

Scorer of the second goal for the green and white team in Minas Gerais — the first was scored by Flaco López —, forward Vitor Roque commented on his first goal of the season.

I'm very happy with my goal and for helping the team once again. It's important for me, for me to gain more and more confidence to keep helping my teammates. I hope to continue like this throughout the season.

The draw against Atlético-MG marked Palmeiras' debut in the Brasileirão. For Vitor Roque, the result was positive.

It was a very important draw for us, an important point that will help us as the Campeonato Brasileiro goes on. We tried to win, but it wasn't possible.

The forward also looked ahead to the team's next match, against Botafogo-SP, on Sunday (01), in Ribeirão Preto (SP), for the Campeonato Paulista. Palmeiras currently holds second place in the state championship, with four wins and one loss.

It's going to be a very tough game as well, we're in a good position in the Paulista and now it's about focusing and continuing to work with a lot of humility. We're going to prepare well to try to get another three points away from home.
