Palmeiras and WTorre have advanced plans to remove seats in the Gol Norte end to raise capacity at Nubank Parque. According to Nosso Palestra, designs are being prepared for approval by authorities and will also be reviewed by BTG Pactual, which is close to assuming stadium operations.
Since late May 2026, the parties have been drafting the necessary project documentation focused on the Gol Norte changes.
The process is considered advanced, but with a management handover approaching, Palmeiras, WTorre and BTG Pactual will meet to align final details and hear the bank’s intentions, including any adjustments to the initial plan.
With events already scheduled at the venue through the end of 2026, construction is expected to start only in the first quarter of 2027.
An extra 3,500 to 4,000 seats on top of the current 43,713 for football could take capacity to about 48,000. The final figure still depends on project approvals.
BTG Pactual is in talks to assume operation of the contract this year through to the end of 2044. There are pending questions over whether WTorre’s participation will be reduced, and other details remain confidential.
In 2024, Enforce, a BTG group credit manager, bought WTorre’s Banco do Brasil debt linked to building Allianz Parque, valued at around R$ 650 million. The bank had already been evaluating a move to manage the arena and recently took part in approving Nubank’s naming-rights deal.
