Palmeiras forward Jhon Arias in Libertadores round six selection

CONMEBOL announced the selection of the best players from round six of the 2025 Libertadores, with Palmeiras forward Jhon Arias included after a 4-1 win over Junior Barranquilla at Allianz Parque.

Arias struck twice in the rout. Allan and Andreas Pereira scored the other goals for the hosts, while Luis Muriel replied for the visitors.

The victory secured the Verdão’s place in the next phase as runners-up in Group F.

The draw then paired Palmeiras with Cerro Porteño, the Paraguayan club who topped the group.

After finishing runners-up in 2025, Palmeiras are chasing a fourth Libertadores title and head into the knockouts in confident mood after the round-closing win at Nubank Parque.
