Palmeiras host São Paulo at Nubank Parque on Saturday 12 at 18:30 Brasília time, in the 27th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro. The clássico marks their return to the venue after more than a year and a half.
Nosso Palestra notes the rivalry resumes at the ground this weekend.
The previous meeting at Nubank Parque was on 10 March 2025 in the Paulista semi-final, when Palmeiras won 1-0 through Raphael Veiga and reached the final.
Since then Palmeiras have hosted three derbies away from the venue, all at Arena Barueri. On 11 May 2025 they won 1-0 in the league. In 2026 Barueri staged a 3-1 win on 24 January, then a 2-1 semi-final victory on 1 March.
Abel Ferreira’s side enter the weekend after two league matches without a win, having ceded top spot to Flamengo by one point. They need a victory to keep their title push on track.
The clássico follows a 1-0 home win over LDU in the first leg of the Libertadores quarter-final. The return is on Wednesday 16 in Quito.
