According to a report from AS, Brazilian club Palmeiras is expected to make another attempt to sign Barcelona forward Vitor Roque in June.
This development comes after they missed the opportunity to secure his services during the January transfer window.
The recent signing of Cucho Hernandez by Real Betis has cast doubt over Roque’s permanent move to the La Liga club. Even though the transfer market is currently closed, there are already rumours circulating about possible moves.
As such, reports from Brazil suggest that Palmeiras are considering bringing Roque back to Brazil to strengthen their squad for the Club World Cup, which kicks off in mid-June. However, this possibility remains speculative at the moment.
Roque is currently on loan at Betis from Barcelona. According to the terms of the loan agreement, Betis hold the right to decide on his future at the end of the season.

They have three options: extend his loan for another year, activate a purchase clause worth €30 million, or terminate the loan and send him back to Barcelona. Only if Betis opt for the last option would Palmeiras have the chance to negotiate for the forward.
Roque’s form at Betis has been inconsistent. He has scored four goals in 19 league appearances but has not found the back of the net since a victory over Villarreal on December 15.
The arrival of Cucho Hernandez has increased competition for the forward’s position, adding to the challenge Roque already faces.
Manager Manuel Pellegrini’s decision to bring in a proven goal scorer during the winter transfer window underscores Betis’ need for more consistent attacking options.
Meanwhile, Roque’s struggle to maintain form has been a concern, and with the club evaluating its options, his future remains uncertain.
Palmeiras, sensing an opportunity, will likely monitor the situation closely and be ready to make their move if Roque becomes available this summer.
