Palmeiras are negotiating a loan move for Bruno Rodrigues with Internacional.

According to Globo.com, the Rio Grande do Sul club made an enquiry late last year, and talks have moved forward in recent days to sign the forward.

The forward returned from two serious knee injuries last year, has struggled to make an impact, and has slipped down Abel Ferreira’s pecking order. Despite the coach’s rotation this season, he has featured only three times.

A temporary move is seen as a chance for him to play more, and for Palmeiras to give minutes to a player likely to see limited action.

Palmeiras are also working on signings who would start immediately, with Jhon Arias of Wolverhapton their main attacking target. Negotiations have intensified and the club have offered 25 million euros (R$ 154 million) to the player.

Beyond Bruno Rodrigues, the forward line includes Flaco López, Vitor Roque, Luighi, Riquelme Fillipi, Allan, Felipe Anderson and Sosa. Paulinho is recovering from surgery and will also be an option.

Bruno Rodrigues has made 16 appearances and scored two goals for Palmeiras.
