Palmeiras returned to work on Wednesday 24 after a World Cup break, with the football department focusing on planning for renewals alongside possible arrivals and departures.
According to Nosso Palestra, the club will in the coming days handle final talks on several contract extensions.
Discussions with defender Murilo are advanced to extend his deal until the end of 2029, with only administrative details remaining. The club also plan to meet full-back Arthur and his representatives to improve his terms after his emergence under Abel Ferreira.
Extension talks for Paraguayan defender Gustavo Gómez are lined up, with the final stage set to follow the World Cup. Palmeiras will also meet Flaco López and his camp after the tournament to discuss a rise in line with his current form and significant improvement.
Despite that plan and a desire to keep him, the club believe López will attract strong interest from European sides. A stay is viewed as unlikely if offers exceed €40 million.
